The Higg Index, is a suite of sustainability self-assessment tools developed by the Sustainable Apparel Coalition to assess the manufacturing, brand and product impacts of textile production. The tool is now managed by Higg Co. – a seperate technology company that aims to increase both the efficiency and scale of the Higg Index.
Most recently, in October 2022, it announced new partnerships with Bluesign and ZDHC (Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals) to accelerate the use of environmentally-safe chemicals among global brands and manufacturers.
